"Portals are the key to easy access into the human's world of Chronos. They worked like doors that locked once you walked through the passageway, access was only granted to the ones who created them. The complexity of creating these portals is...astounding at times. Motionless water in elemental form was the basis for its design, the rest is math, geometry, symbolism...
I've made many of these before leaving too much room for error in my confidence. I hastily entered the water portal and I looked upon the circle I drew once again. It continued to react finding its point B and began shifting its location in space. However, at the moment it became to late to amend any errors I noticed a small flaw in the design I had overlooked..."

"I miscalculated"



Oblivion set in for a brief moment before Cerul regained his consciousness. He found himself completely submerged in cold dark abyss. He felt his power wane and a feeling of uncomfortable pressure in his lungs. Dancing rays of light distorted by what seemed to be the surface of water, seen, but all too far away. A few bubbles of precious air escaped from his mouth unintentionally as he tried to fight back what had suddenly taken over him. Cerul fought against the feeling of suffocation, but panic would only be folly in this situation. Swimming towards the light was all he could do and a fortunate event was all he could hope for. Perhaps he was not the only one here, maybe somebody else from above the surface could see his struggle.

Oh what irony the element he had such power over now sought to end him...

Cerul fought to reach the surface, still so far away, as his last bit of strength faded with the light he felt a presence of another freely gliding around him. Was a a person? no no... the silhouette appeared so until the form suddenly sprouted three more pairs of arms. This figure in the depths did not appear to have legs, and instead a long tail like a serpent propelled itself through the water. This did not appear to be like anything he had seen in his own world of Chronos, he would have felt cautious if that was the only thing he had to worry about right now. Fading out of consciousness he felt a couple pair's of arms catch him, perhaps it was the creature's, was he saved? or is he prey? It felt like he had not been snatched up by a reckless brute but by something a bit more...feminine.

He felt himself ascend faster through the abyss, the light growing brighter once again as the creature cut through the water much faster then he could have tried at this point. Cerul's body relaxed as he felt no need to struggle whether he was in danger or not. It was obvious that making assumptions already put him into too much trouble today, but even though he might have surmised that this being might have been a reptile at first glance upon when noticing the contours in the dark and the feeling of smooth scales on its arms. However a strange warmth was felt, like in the blood of a mammal.

Perhaps this creature was much like himself, and hopefully not hostile.

The surface grew near and suddenly a familiar feeling of air hit Cerul's face and filled hing lungs, coughing out the water he had accidentally breathed in. Still partly submerged he waded to the banks were he was able to grasp the root of a tree and regain his tranquility of mind. He regressed to face the other way, this time facing the center of the water hole, staring at him, perhaps in confusion was the most odd creature he had seen in his life. It appeared to be a female naga, a creature only fabled in his home world, which was obvious he wasn't in anymore.

"This is embarrassing..." Cerul uttered, his voice a bit raspy from coughing.
