" I feel both terror and shame to know that from my brief curiosity has brought upon abhorrent actions of my very own daughter. I watch it in her eyes as she collects the insects for her displays. Dropping the cotton ball doused in alcohol, enclosed into a glass jar. Eyes wide and curiosity piqued as the tiny insect squirms for air and rolls onto its back. The husk continues to twitch even though the life is no longer present. In every action of hers, though subtle, I feel something dark and foreboding.

Young Adelein asks far too many questions for girl her age, with often deranged underlying meanings.
I should have never taken responsibility of that book, but I too felt the temptation of its secrets. It has never been showed to her, but I grow well aware that she knows of it. 

I wanted a simple unblemished child who asked for dolls and sweets. I did not ask for this monster.
I only wait for the day that one of us will simply know too much... "
